Problem NOT solved.
Ctrl+0 does set the zoom so that one full page would fit in the viewing window, but it does not serve the same function as the "Fit one full page to window" button.
The only option to some how use this is to go in Edit -> Preferences -> Page display -> Default Layaout and Zoom, set PAGE LAYOUT to "Single-page" and set ZOOM to "Fit page".
Now all the document will be opened in "Fit one full page to window" mode directly.
This is how I manage the issue, works for me because I use most of the documents in "Fit one full page to window" mode.
