    This probably won't help everyone with the issue, but it might help someone. I have a 3d mouse that I use primarily with Solidworks (a 3d CAD software). The 3d mouse has a Fit button that will bring the model or drawing sheet to fill the monitor. It can also be set to Fit One Full Page in Adobe. By the way, it's great for zooming in and out in pdf's also.
