    Agreed.

In a society that reads left-to-right, top-to-bottom, navigational elements are anchored/located in the upper-left side of the screen.

This is the reason why the escape key, the file menu, and folder trees are all anchored/located in the upper-left corner.

In addition, for a predominantly right-handed population, tools are typically located on the right-hand side.

This is why everything from workbenches to drafting tables to desktop applications locate tools and tool bars on the right.

As a result, the document outline in the new Adobe Acrobat UI should be located on the left and the tool bar should be located on the right side of the application.

These aren't mearly UI suggestions, they are based on human psychology.

Unfortunately, this new UI is disregarding decades of research and best practices in UI/UX design psychology.

I attempted to collect a memory dump from the application while it's freezing up -- as requested. However, since I switched back from the old UI to the new UI (to capture the memory dump), I'm no longer seeing the freezing happening. If I see it return, I will submit the memory dump.
