Same issues here, annoying to have to close the All tools pane every time I open Adobe. I prefer seeing just my document, please fix to remember your preferences. I would switch to the old layout, but I had the impression that Adobe is rolling out the new interface as a standard, soon not to be optional?

I too have noticed that upon opening a document with comments, the comments pane automatically opens up. I agree it takes up needed space to view the document and I always close it. I found in the Preferences under Commenting the option "show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened" is selected by default. However, when I unselect this and click OK, it has no effect. The preference option reverts back to being selected, even after closing the application. Please fix this. (windows user)
