    In my experience, social media has become the main weapon. Once, it was enough to post a photo of the conflict, and within a couple of hours, local activists would raise a fuss, and then human rights defenders would get involved. The massiveness and speed of information dissemination sometimes matter more than official channels. Of course, without encryption, all this is unsafe, but it is precisely the open publicity online that makes violators feel the pressure of society.
