  2. The "x" button for getting rid of the AI Summary feature is not working. This is dumb. It takes up space. It's distracting. I don't want to use AI if I don't have to because (a) there are real privacy concerns that have not been ameliorated, and (b) the amount of energy consumption is wasteful and bad for the environment. I want my kids to have a chance to live in a world where most people have access to clean water, and AI is like 10,000 steps backwards on this. One inquiry in ChatGPT for example, uses several 16 oz…

  3. Please for the love of all that is sacred let me fully disable the "AI" "Assistant". It is neither AI, nor an assistant. It is not a useful feature to "generate a summary" of an invoice. It is not able to - in ANY way - generate a meaningful summary of a whitepaper that provides any more value than the author's abstract. And it most certainly cannot make light of a technical standard that I have to understand clause-for-clause in order to implement.

The "disable" option in Preferences does not actually seem to disable it and every 3rd time I…

  4. Your AI is not allowing me to do my job as efficiently as possible. The constant pop-ups are frustrating and interrupt my work. I do not need everything I am looking at to be summarized. I do not need everything I am looking at to be rewritten. I do not need your AI assistance to interrupt me when I am working. Allow people to disable this. It is so frustrating and so many other people are also frustrated by it. Please start listening to your customers.

  5. I’ve disabled the AI assistant in the settings, but it keeps popping up to summarize the document when I’m just trying to read. Not only does this block out the important content I’m looking at, it also reduces the basic usability of the program, such as not being able to scroll smoothly while playing games like level devil - not a troll game.

Worse, the little chat bar at the bottom of the screen still shows up, even though I’ve disabled the AI assistant. Really, if the user has chosen to disable the AI, all AI-related elements should disappear…

  6. Why don't you already have an option to remove AI assistant? I don't see why it's mandatory, we should have the choice of using it or not. Personally I don't want it, I don't need it, the button is distracting and it causes malfunction. I'm not lazy or dumb, I can work as I've always have by using my brain and not an artificial intelligence that causes dumbness and pollutes !! Keep the AI for really important matters when it's needed. It's ridiculous to add it for everyone, even for thoses who don't need it, it's pollution for nothing!

  8. Hi. Can the pelicans that manage the programming department at Adobe, please let the programmers stop concentrating on useless rubbish like the 'AI assistant' (I don't need assistance reading PDFs in your mediocre program and I definitely don't need help from 'AI') and instead do some work on things like making the 'convert to XLS' feature actually work, rather than crashing the program every time I try to use it.

  9. I use Acrobat primarily to read CD booklets for my job. They're not exactly the Iliad. The idea that they are 'long documents' and I might therefore want an AI summary is in equal parts insulting and terrifying. I know y'all have to make fetch happen with all this AI nonsense because we all gave a big ol' shrug to crypto and NFTs and this is kind of your last throw of the dice, but we're not going for it this time either. Stop it and back off.

  10. The AI is useless and intrusive. It causes noticeable lag issues, even when I've "disabled" it. I do not want your AI analyzing my personal documents and using it to "get smarter".

Please allow us to disable AI Assistance completely, or better yet, get that garbage out of Adobe completely.

  12. AI Insanity!

Provide a verifiable way to completely remove AI Assistant in Adobe Reader. I do not want an AI anything capturing any financial or other privacy related documents and processing them in the cloud, especially in Beta form. Most users will not read to the point of understanding the cloud aspect of this. This is a ridiculous and even dangerous function to offer, promote and even present to the general user.

  13. AI Assistance is useless and disruptive. There is a noticeable lag in Adobe as it's loading the AI content, despite me "disabling" it.

Please allow us to disable it completely. I don't even want to see the AI option on my screen.

Or better yet, get AI out of Adobe completely. There is no valid reason for AI to be snooping our personal documents and using our content to "get smarter".

  14. Disabling the AI assistant is actually what you should do. Even though I've disabled the AI assistant in the settings, I continue to receive pop-ups asking me to summarize the documents I'm trying to read. In addition to blocking the content I'm trying to read, these pop-ups make the basic program less usable, such as when it comes to scrolling, Chill Guy Clicker. Additionally, when the assistant is disabled, the small chat bar at the bottom shouldn't be there. For heaven's sake, please make this right. AI is not necessary for everything. I'll use Chat GPT if I need…

  15. Get that damned AI Assistant button OFF the top of my screen! It keeps popping up right over top of the scroll bar, making it impossible to quickly advance through the first page of a document -- right when all the introductory material I want to skim past is there. Why can't this thing be removed or disabled? The last thing I need is a summary made by a bot with the intelligence of your average high-schooler. This is the most annoying software add-on since "Clippy".

  16. I am annoyed and distracted by the constant prompts to use Adobe's Generative AI feature. I do not want this feature. I have disabled the feature. But I still see a brightly colored button advertising it every time I open Adobe. What is worse, when I try to do a simple search, I get another prompt encouraging me to use Generative AI. I already pay $20/month for Acrobat. I should not have view ads on software I am paying for. But Adobe repeatedly forces me to view what is essentially an ad for an feature I do not want. It's…

  17. There will be no time ever in which I will open a document in Acrobat Pro and want an AI summary rather than reading it. The entire point of opening is to read it, not your guess of what it says. I do not want this feature, I do not want it popping up and offering me ****** AI "tools" I don't need it and it slows me down to actually have to click past it to get my work done.

Please disable all this AI slop by default.

  20. I think we can all agree that your AI pop-up is the most annoying and useless "feature" on Adobe. As you can see, several cases have been opened against it, and ALL the cases have been upvoted. How much longer til y'all actually get rid of it? Since we're talking about annoying pop-ups, can you also find a way to disable the pop up when I copy text? I just need to copy some quick data into another spreadsheet and every time I select the text I have your stupid pop-up to Generate an Image, Simplify, Define, or Ask your…
