It seems that this problem began around Oct 1st. I have a series of PDF's created each week and the last one that opens normally was created Sept 29th and last modified or saved on Oct 3rd. After that the issue starts.
Installed: Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) (25.001.20997)

Issue is fixed in latest DC build.

It seems that no one is interested in fixing this problem or that Adobe doesn't support its free products anymore. Also seems that the problem started when Adobe started adding all these AI buttons and features.
Guess I'll just have to stop using the poorly supported product and go with Chrome or Firefox to open PDF's.
