    Hi James,

This issue has been fixed from our side. If you still see multiple prompts we would request contact safari/Apple support.

    Hi Ryan,
Are you pointing towards the "https://documentcloud.adobe.com/....." link which gets generated after sharing a file?

Also can you share a screenshot showing the "download" button.

    Regards
    Soumik

    Hi Tamas,
I am able to open the file in both standalone Acrobat and IE.

Can you specify when exactly you face the issue? Is it while opening in browser/Acrobat?

A video demo showing the steps would be helpful

    Regards
    Soumik

Thanks for the feedback. We will take this up with our Product team to take a decision. Meanwhile you can use our IE plugin to view and work on PDFs.

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for posting.
Do you face this issue consistently or intermittently? Is it with some specific file or random file? Meanwhile can you take a crash dump and share with us the same.

    Steps for taking crash dump:-
    1. Right click on the Crashdump.bat script (attached as .txt. Change it after downloading)
    2. Choose "Run As Administrator"
    3. Click OK if UAC prompt appears
    4. Once this setup is done crash dump will be generated at %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps folder for any application crash. Please note once this crash dump is enabled the application would take longer to go away after the crash.
    5. To disable crash dump generation, download and run the Reg_remove.bat script (Run it as admin). Both these scripts are attached here.
    6. Also when sharing crash dumps, please share Acrobat/Reader version with which these dumps were taken. You can do this by checking Acrobat.exe/AcroRd32.exe version info in properties. Go to Acrobat/Reader installation directory? Right click on Acrobat.exe/AcroRd32.exe and open properties. Switch to Details tab. Please share Product Version mentioned in the list.

You can send these details at soudas@adobe.com

    Hi,

In case of Acrobat, with Enhanced Protected Mode enabled, any PDF in IE always opens in Protected View mode irrespective of what setting is there in Acrobat preferences. So the PDF in "protected view fails" case is also opened in Protected View. It's the same security as that which protected view provides.

Security model and behavior with browser is a little different in case of reader and that's why you can see the yellow bar there too.

    Regards
    Soumik

    Hi,

Can you verify and let us know whether ieexplorer.exe also doesn't closes or its only with AcroRd32.exe?

Also share with us your product version along with OS details.

    regards
    Soumik

    Hi,

This is a known issue with IE. Please create a registry at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main - TabShutdownDelay and set DWORD value key to 0.

More information is available in this MS blog:-
