   Hi

   Please uncheck the preference “Convert displayed comments to notes in Adobe PDF” in Preferences > Word from Acrobat ribbon in MS Word.

   In December 2025, this is NOT the solution. That box was NOT checked and no selections in the Create PDF preferences made any difference. We started having this issue a few months ago and can no longer used the Word Adobe add-in if we need to preserve tracked changes (which are not the same as comments anyway).
