  1. Combining Separate PDFs in Order of Selection.

How would you like the feature to work? When selecting multiple pdf's to combine I'd like adobe to arrange them in order of selection (Based on which item was selected first). Nitro PDF does that.

Why is this feature important to you? It saves time when you extract pages from emails and you select each in an order you want them to be combined. Otherwise you end up dragging each selection to arrange while creating the binder.

    • Keep added view columns in PDF Portfolio of emails converted to a PDF portfolio

In Acrobat X one could add view columns, such as "to" and "folder" to a PDF Portfolio of emails, and save the portfolio to keep the added columns. When the portfolio was opened again the added view columns would still be there. Please add this feature to Acrobat Pro DC.

      • Combine two small pages and create one single page

When I scan two pages and crop them, they are smaller or equal to an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I want to be able to take the two pages and make them just one single page. There are many times that I have scanned something that had just a couple lines at the top of the second page. I may want to be able to shrink that to fit it all on one page. I think there should be options for doing that. Since people are trying to be more and more digital to store information and use…

                • Optional setting to default to document title in Initial View

Currently, even though an MS Word document may have a Title property, when the PDF is created the Acrobat default initial view is to the document file name rather than the PDF's title properties. Since this doesn't pass the accessibility check it requires that the setting be changed on each PDF. I would like to see it either default to the Title property, or provide the option in the PDF Maker plug-in for MS Word.

                  • Choose pages option in Combine

As with Acrobat 9 Pro, your new DC versions needs a "choose pages or select pages" option when combining multiple documents into one pdf. The old version easily allowed you to select the individual document, and enter that you wanted to include only pages 1-22, 56-68, 543. Only these pages would be included. With DC I was just told by your customer support team that I would need to expand the document, and scroll through what could be a 1,000 page document and hand select the pages I need. Will not purchase program if this is the only way to…

                    • Acrobat needs an append option... or at least print multiple docs to a Portfolio

Acrobat needs an append option... or the ability to print multiple docs to a Portfolio.
All of the competitors have an option to print multiple files and add to single document. Acrobat even allows you to append scans to exiting pdfs. Why is there no option that does not require you to save multiple pdfs and then combine them. Seems easy enough... but when you have users refusing to switch platforms because they email statements to customers all day, the added steps of saving and combining documents would literally add hours a day to their workflow, You are not going…

                        Hi

Acrobat does have a Combine and a Create Portfolio option. You can access the same from File > Create PDF menu.
                        You can refer these tutorials:

                        https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/how-to/combine-files-single-pdf.html?playlist=/ccx/v1/collection/product/acrobat-dc/segment/designer/explevel/beginner/applaunch/basictraining/collection.ccx.js

                      • Combining PDF documents results in unprintable characters

Problem: when combining multiple PDF files into one PDF, the result will be a variety of unprintable characters.
                        1) EACH individual PDF file appears fine (both on the screen and when printed). There are NO unprintable characters within the PDF.
                        2) CAN combine say 5 to 15 PDF files. All Fonts & characters appear fine (within the combined PDF). WILL also print OK. NO unprintable characters.
                        3) Now try to combine about 35-60 PDF files into ONE PDF file (NOT good). The COMBINED PDF will display on the SCREEN unprintable characters (€ = square box) on nearly every page!
                        Occurs…

When adding a PDF Portfolio to a file list (Combine Files) I get the following informational dialog box,

"File [File name] is a PDF Portfolio that contains multiple files. The files with the PDF Portfolio have been added to the file list." It requires that you click OK, before the files will be added and you can continue.

I wish to disable this dialog box as I am archiving thousands of files a day.

Simply format support for OpenOffice formats used by OpenOffice and LibreOffice.

This is vital for those that prefer those formats over Microsoft Office formats. While they aren't as fully featured or useful in some cases they are free and open source making them a great alternative to the closed source formats of their Microsoft counterparts. Plus my book features some of these formats and i'm too lazy to convert them over...

                              • I'd like to be able to make a flip book (that turns the page like a magazine)

Title says it really. It's simply that there a lot of 'make your own flip books' softwares out there, but they are not well designed and expensive, when this feels like it is a sensible add on to what one can already do with Adobe PDF pro. It's annoying to have to go elsewhere for pdf expertise, as I feel Adobe should be able to smash this themselves.

                                • PATH AND FILE NAME INSERT OPTION

I would like to see a feature added to Acrobat that would allow Acrobat to stamp the path (location) and name of the document which was created. I am attaching an example of a document created with a different program in which the feature is highlighted..

It would also be great if that stamp would adjust and change as the document is renamed, moved or received and saved by the receiving party.

                                  • Adobe Acrobat Pro crashes on AutoCAD files

After the most recent update, I get the error "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" any time I try to create a PDF from an AutoCAD file. I re-installed Acrobat and it worked up until it updated again.

                                    • No way to sort files manually in a pdf portfolio - very annoying!

There doesn't seem to be a way to manually sort (drag & drop) files within a pdf portfolio. Why is this? It forces you to use the Sort pull down menu, which has narrow parameters (name, modified, order??, relationship.) it is not intuitive as with Excel that lets you right click and move or copy a sheet, or in a regular pdf that lets you drag and drop pages.

                                        Hi,

Thanks you for reporting the issue.
Regarding re-arrangement of file through Drag and Drop is a known issue, and we have bug logged in our database.

Workaround: Although its little bit lengthy process if you have large set of files but you can sort the portfolio by adding your own parameter
Goto -Portfolio properties→ “Add” the Field name of your choice.
Change the “Sort by” option to newly added Field.
Edit/Add the value of newly added field of the files in portfolio by right clicking on each files and save the changes.

                                        Thanks,

                                      • Allow right-click option to "Save here" or "Choose other location"

Upon selecting a file or multiple files in a folder to convert to PDF, the right click menu should provide the option to either "Save here (or "save in same location" OR "Choose other file location".

                                          Hi

The PDF is by default saved at the same location where the file is kept. There is also a choice of selecting location post creation of PDF.
Can you please elaborate your use case for asking another UI option?

                                          Thanks
                                          Tanvi

Make your error messages explicit and helpful. Why does Acrobat Pro DC crash so often when I am trying to create a pdf that has some color and some b&w pages?
