    For the pdfs with active form fields, a workaround to not have to print-sign-scan is to

    1. Fill out the form to the extent you can.
    2. Print the form to a PDF. It is now a normal pdf without active fields
    3. Fill & Sign whatever is required.
    4. Save and send,
    OR
    I usually print to a pdf one more time as this renders the signature as part of the simple pdff now, rather than a signed pdf. Looks a little more like I did the print-sign-scan.
