    I now have this issue with the latest version of Acrobat Pro DC:

    Architecture: x86_64
    Build: 19.10.20069.311970
    AGM: 4.30.83
    CoolType: 5.14.5
    JP2K: 1.2.2.42216

    Mac OS Mojave V.10.14.3

    I manually checked for updates; none available. AcroCEF starts using resources and my laptop's fans go nuts within 30 second to 1 minute after launching Acrobat Pro DC. Help would be appreciated, as I'm paying monthly for Creative Cloud, and I use Acrobat every day.
