Hello Ravi - Thanks for your reply, but please read my first post again. YES Acrobat was having "issues" related to slow internet. The server validation may indeed be happening in the "background", but the application halts or pauses if it doesn't receive validation quickly enough. I just tried to open PDF documents using Acrobat DC while 100% offline, and what you stated is correct - Acrobat continues to run if the network is not available. The problem appeared only when I was working from an INTERMITTENT and SLOW WiFi/internet connection. Please reconsider my suggestion that Acrobat's server validation only take place once a day, or once each time the application is first opened. It makes no sense to keep checking, checking for validation, 20 or 30 times each hour when the validation was just confirmed when the app was opened.
