    Here is something I found in the registry, however it appears to be only the name and position of the buttons. Can someone try adding this to their registry manually and see if works, or tell me where else to look.

    I had enabled the 2 buttons (see attached screen shot) a long time ago. After some updates to Acrobat, the buttons are still there and work fine. However, the option to enable them has disappeared (see screenshot).
    I believe the fix may be very simple via REGISTRY editing. I have shown that the functionality still exists and Adobe has only taken away our ability to select the tool.
    If someone can direct me to the the correct KEY in REGEDIT, I will be happy to investigate and share.
