    Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

    I am experiencing this issue as well. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the very latest version of Reader DC to no avail. It happened after downloading Catalina, so it seems likely that something between Adobe and Apple's new OS has gone awry. As James highlights above, contacting Adobe is another vain effort. If anyone manages to find a fix, I'd love to know what it was.
