printing page range
To the Adobe Acrobat Product Team,
I am writing to request an improvement to the "Print Range" functionality in Adobe Acrobat.
Currently, when attempting to print specific, non-sequential pages, the software rejects the input. For example, if I enter a custom page range such as "2,1,4,3" or "1, 4-5, 9" into the "Pages" field, Acrobat throws the following error: "Please enter a valid page range."
The Problem:
Users often need to print documents in a very specific, custom order (for physical collation, legal requirements, or specific workflow needs). The current validation logic is too strict and rejects comma-separated single pages or complex combinations, forcing users to print pages individually or use workarounds.
The Request:
Please update the Print dialog validation logic to accept flexible page range inputs. Specifically:
Allow comma-separated single pages in any order (e.g., "2,1,4,3").
Allow combinations of single pages and ranges (e.g., "1, 4-5, 9").
If a format is truly unsupported, please provide a tooltip or a clearer error message explaining the correct syntax, rather than a generic "invalid" error.
Making this option available in future updates would greatly improve the printing workflow for many users. Thank you for your time and consideration.
