"Problem: Unable to print using IE for latest Win 2004 update when only Reader is installed. [ADC-4304271]"

It's not clear if the problem is with the reader plug-in (Adobe) or with Internet Explorer 11 (Microsoft) but I'll let Godzilla and King Kong settle that argument.
Meanwhile, it is possible to disable protected mode completely in Reader if one absolutely must use the reader plug-in in IE11 to view PDF:s.
A more secure workaround is to disable the Reader plug-in in Internet Explorer to force the file to be downloaded and opened outside IE. Might not work in all scenarios though.Per Bengtsson supported this idea · -

Hi,
Requesting you to please update to the latest version of Acrobat by going to Help > Check for updates.
Please let us know if the issue persists on the latest version as well.
Regards,

Michael H, I would much rather disable protected mode in Acrobat Reader than reimage the kiosks with an unsupported operating system as running a system without any security updates would be a bigger security exception.
