  2. This bug has been reported before. It was claimed that it was fixed in version 22.2.20191 (see this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/adobe-stays-open-after-quick-print/td-p/13068306), but we can still reproduce it in current version 23.8.20533.

The problem is that when a print command is issued to Acrobat, the application opens, prints, but does not close again when printing is finished.

We have a customer needing to print batches containing hundreds of documents. Because Acrobat misbehaves, a batch will get stuck whenever a PDF is encountered. The only work-around we found in Acrobat is to manually close the application after each print job. Of course…

  3. Since an update last week (2/12/24) or week before Adobe reader on windows crashes when you try to drag a document by its tab to become a new reader window - this has made it very difficult to work with multiple documents you want to view simultaneously

  5. Pages do not fully load when using Windows 10 and latest version of Adobe, Adobe locks up and Windows 10 reports not responding, v.2024.004.20220 when using the "Execute a menu Item" script. Pages load properly in Windows 11, not tested other OS's. Pages also load ok when loaded direct from the disk.

We are using a menu pdf menu system and within this we open other pdf files, Code we use is

    Execute a menu item
    - Go to page in another document
    - file path/name
    - page 1
    - zoom level fit page

Problem is probably caused by a…

  6. It is annoying that I have set pdfs to open in page width mode (though they don't always), but when I go to full screen view, the article is displayed in full page, not page width, mode.

  7. STOP with the disappearing scroll bar! I know it's all the rage to remove functionality from desktop software but it's SUPER annoying! It makes me feel like my arms are bound above my elbows. I'm getting repetitive motion pain from having to click the arrow key repeatedly. Whatever happened to user-friendliness? This nonsense is user-HOSTILE.

  8. Hello, I work for one of the biggest banks in Turkey. There are 16.000 employees in our company and we all use Acrobat Redar Pro especially. But it is very sad that AI Assistant has almost no language support except English. Will you have a support package that includes Turkish? We are very excited to use AI Assistant.

  9. When multiple documents are open in tabs, if my Windows taskbar is configured to never combine taskbar buttons and hide labels, there is a taskbar button for every document, but nothing happens if I click on any of them except the first one (which is the currently active tab).
It should be fixed so that when I click on one of the other buttons Adobe Reader is raised and switches to the appropriate tab.
Or else the behaviour should be changed so that there is only one button on the taskbar (https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/926812-acrobat-reader-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/39686770-acrobat-reader-dc-shows-multiple-tabs-as-windows-o).
Or you could do both and…

  10. Print preview should turn off all the accessibility modifications to how the document appears so that it accurately reflects what will get printed.
Otherwise, it is a very bad preview.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Load a document with significant text and background colour customization.
    2. Enable high contrast accessibility features so that the document now looks quite different on screen.
    3. Open print dialogue.

The print preview shows the document with the accessibility changes, but actually prints without them.

    1. (Optional) Print the document to verify that the preview was wrong.

  11. This is a bug report. The Comments window "Highlighted text" controls accept text input. After the control is automatically closed (e.g., by shifting focus) the static control replacing it shows the text incorrectly truncated on some lines.

  14. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/print-properties-button-missing/m-p/14772888

This is still a problem on the latest version of Acrobat (as of Nov 25, 2024) with macOS Sequoia (but it's not a Sequoia problem, it's a problem with the printer Properties function in Acrobat Reader, not with the system dialogue for printing).

  15. When I download a PDF with smaller details (e.g. a train/bus map), the Chrome extension doesn't go beyond ~260% zoom-in making it impossible to read these documents.
While the desktop application (macOS in my case) goes to 6400% (far more than needed in my use case), 1000% would be much more helpful.

  16. When having multiple tabs open, right clicking a tab brings up a menu. It would be convenient to have a "close all other tabs" option, rather than closing each other tab one by one or exiting the program.

  18. When opening a PDF document in Adobe Acrobat Reader that has been obtained from an untrusted location (i.e. has Mark Of The Web [MOTW]) AND/OR is not in Adobe Reader's trusted locations AND Protected Mode is enabled, Acrobat Reader hangs for 3 to 10 seconds after initially displaying the document. Thereafter the interface becomes responsive again. The easy way to determine if the interface has "frozen" is to attempt to scroll through the opened PDF document. Disabling Protected Mode resolves the issue but leaves Acrobat Reader vulnerable to security risks. The status of Protected View doesn't have an effect on…

  19. Acrobat Pro
    Architecture: arm64
    Processor: Apple M1 Max
    Build: 24.3.20180.0
    AGM: 7.1.8
    CoolType: 9.1.0

When combining files to create a single pdf booklet and viewing in List view, I am unable to scroll down the list to see the last item.

I frequently combine 80+ single page pdfs to create booklets. In list view I can scroll to item #68 but no further.

Resizing the window (both smaller and larger) results in scrolling not working at all.

Attempts to scroll with mouse wheel and by moving selection cursor with keyboard arrow keys does not allow contents of list…

  20. Excel supports jumping to a specific workbook sheet by linking to the document and sheet name, similar to an HTML anchor tag. In other words, if an Excel worksheet, named "report.xlsx", contains sheets named "title_page" and "summary", you can link directly to the "summary" sheet using a link like "report.xlsx#summary". You can even link to a specific cell by appending the cell address after an exclamation mark, as in: "report.xlsx#summary!H42". If the sheet name contains spaces, it can be wrapped in single quotes: "report.xlsx#'summary page'!H42".
All of these links work from Word documents, but Acrobat seems to strip the anchor…
