The automatic document naming for a Word mailmerge is lame. If I "Specify PDF file name"" as MERGE and ask for records 90 to 120, I get filenames
Merge901101.pdf....Merge9011010.pdf...Merge9011021.pdf. Why is "9011" being inserted into the filenames. Far more useful would be Merge90.pdf....Merge120.pdf which would at least tie text following the word "merge" to the record number in the database.
Also the preliminary step of "Verifying the Database" is way slower than prior methods of merging to individual documents. If one can guarantee that all documents are the same number of pages then first merging to 1 humongous Word File, Saving to PDF and then splitting using Acrobat ProDC is quicker, but is more steps. For anyone struggling go to this website for a Word Macro to make your life easier: https://imnoss.com/word-mail-merge-to-separate-pdfs/
