Could you pls. share how are the PDFs being accessed? Are these kept on a network folder or shared (mapped n/w) drive? Or are you accessing them through a Citrix server or RDP?

I have the same issue. Some of the pdfs are kept in shared drive (google or equivalent) and some of them are on local disk. Apparently there is no pattern. One of the tabs that has a file opened from the same folder is still fine, while the other is blank!
