    Hi All,

We have provided a registry protected fix, some users confirmed that this worked for them.
Could you please try this at your end as well and let us know your feedback?
Kindly make sure you are on the latest DC build(20.012.20043) and then follow the steps from the attached word file: “Steps.docx”.

    Regards,
    Arvind

Anyone else see the irony of waiting 3 years, 2 months (and counting) for an issue about things working too slowly to be fixed?
(This is also perhaps not a constructive comment, but pertinent nonetheless.)

As I've said before on this tread (approx 6 months ago), this is related to unpublished books which are confidential and which I therefore can't share. Sorry

    Hi Arvind,

I'm afraid I can't send you the PDF. It's an unpublished proof of a book that's in production, and as such is confidential.

However, this issue affects all PDFs with large numbers of comments (over around 1500), so it isn't just one particular document.

    Thanks

    Steph

I have the same problem. I'm on a PC, using the latst version of Acrobat Pro DC (I have tried checking for updates, but none are available) on Windows 10 (also up to date).

I am working on a PDF of around 63MB, with around 2000 comments. I can view the document fine, but as soon as I open the comments pane the whole thing slows down to an unusably slow speed. It takes over 10 seconds to do anything at all, whether or not it's directly related to the comments. Even scrolling from one page to another takes over 10 seconds.
As I'm a freelance editor using Adobe to edit proofs, this is a serious problem. Please help!
