    Hi,

Do you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader on your iPad/iPhone?

As of January 19, 2019, the latest version of Acrobat Reader is 18.12.00.

To open a file from Google Drive

    1. In Acrobat Reader, tap "Files" in the bottom tab bar. On iPhone, tap "< Locations" to go back the Locations main screen.
    2. Tap "More Locations".
    3. Tap "Browse" in the bottom tab bar.
    4. Tap "Drive" (Google Drive).
    5. Tap a document on Google Drive to open it in Acrobat Reader.

If you make changes to a PDF document in Acrobat Reader, the changes will be saved back to Google Drive when you go back to the Acrobat Home screen and close the PDF document.

Please let us know if it works for you.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, those file types are not supported by Adobe Reader for iPhone and iPad or Android.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi,

Does the problem (of "not showing the content") happen to the recipient of the shared document?

If so, you can try sharing/sending a flattened copy. Once a PDF document containing annotations (e.g. filled form data, highlight, drawing) is flattened, the annotations are turned into images.

Please let us know if it works for you.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

First, please install the latest version of Acrobat Reader from the App Store. The latest version (as of January 17) is 18.12.00.

When you open a PDF document containing built-in bookmarks (table of contents), the Bookmarks icon appears in the top bar. (It's the third icon from the left.)

If you have a small iPhone such as 5s or SE, please tap "..." instead. The popover should show "Bookmarks".

The pre-installed PDF document called "Welcome" contains built-in bookmarks as well. Please open it to see if you can find the Bookmarks icon.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Please note that not all PDF documents contain bookmarks (table of contents). It is up to the author of a PDF document to decide whether (or not) to add bookmarks.

Would you please try opening the same PDF document in (a) iBooks on iPhone/iPad or (b) the desktop version of Acrobat Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to see if the PDF document actually contains bookmarks (table of contents)?

Alternatively, you can attach your PDF document in your next post, if you don't mind sharing it publicly.

    Thank you for your help.

We restored the index control for the file browser in Acrobat Reader 18.10.01 (released on October 23, 2018).

Would you please update to the latest Acrobat Reader?

Please note that the index control is visible only when the file browser is sorted by Name (not by Date). Because the Home Recent screen displays files that are sorted by Date, the index control will not be available.

You can go to Files > Locations > On This iPhone/iPad, Document Cloud, or Dropbox and switch to “Sort by Name”.

    Hope this helps.
