I found out it was a failure to log out of the OLD version on Acrobat. Then, I used another computer to log in to Creative Cloud and transfer my login. Hope that helps. It had something to do with the Acrobat not being able to connect to CC and register your identity.

Also, I can't get Acrobat DC to stay open, even when I "Launch" it directly from Creative Cloud. Repair / install / reinstall have no effect. I've tried "Eula.exe", closing the Application Manager and the re-starting it.

I am having this same problem. Acrobat Reader works fine, but Acrobat DC (on Windows 7) does not stay open. I have tried uninstalling reinstalling, signing out of Creative Cloud, Signing back in, Uninstalling with the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool. Photoshop works OK and Reader works OK, but not Acrobat DC. My Creative Cloud subscription is active.

Me too. Suddenly it won’t work - all kinds of image (JPG, PNG, etc.) and I’ve tried both RGB and CMYK colors and different bits.
