    Yes, this is exactly what I need also!!! I am creating fillable forms to be used at a customer service desk. The form will be used by many different customers, who may never be back at this desk again. So creating a digital signature is too cumbersome and time consuming. I just need to be able to add a signature field that when clicked on, will display a block allowing the customer to draw their signature using the touchscreen they are sitting in front of.

    This really should be fixed. It can't be that hard. Adobe should allow blanks in a non required field. I know I could have a value such as N/A but sometimes the form is printed blank and filled out with pen so I really need a blank value. Now I have to maintain 2 forms in order to accommodate all of my users.
