An error occurred while saving the comment It's now nearly 2 years since OP. I'd say it's fairly obvious that nothing will be done to fix this.
I've been using workaround that requires the JS Debugger (CTRL+J) and a command "this.selectedAnnots[0].rotate = 270;" in which you will replace the angle with something that suits you.
It is in no way perfect and consumes a lot of time, but there is no other way around this.
Bummer.An error occurred while saving the comment That works with some objects yes, but not with the text box I'm referring to.
As mentioned earlier, if I create a text box with "Comment => Add text box" the gripper for rotating is not there.An error occurred while saving the comment The solution suggested by Charu Maheshwari does not work with text boxes made with "Add text box" -tool (Comment => Add text box).
This was the original problem, so please remove the resolved status.

I wish you used the time to throw around the navigation menu from left to right side, to this instead.
