I'm using Wacom tablet (which is currently somehow handled like other assistive devices on a Mac), what may affect Acrobat response.
Yet, your approach to accessibility looks like too aggresive. It would be nice to have a choice to switch it on or off, depending on user profile (I use Acrobat mostly with files for printing).

I installed the suite a week ago and Acrobat is telling me "Please wait while the document is being prepared". This is very aggressive approach to user and it should be off by default or done entirely in background at very low priority

I finally managed to switch it off. Yet, the problem—bad usability and wrong design choices—are not resolved :)
