Different behavior when saving a pdf file after editing or redacting from a Teams or SharePoint location.
Brief title:
Different behavior when saving a pdf file after editing or redacting from a Teams or SharePoint location.
Description of desired feature:
Context: If a pdf file from Teams or SharePoint is opened, the file is automatically opened by Adobe Pro (based on the application defaults). If the file is edited, it is saved in a temporary location located in the local users profile (C:\Users\%userid%\OneDriveCloudTemp<tempfolder>) and the file is automatically synchronized to its original Teams/SharePoint location. This functionally works fine.
Desired Feature update: If we want to do the same but redacting the file (not just edit), Acrobat prompts to save a new version of that file with '*_redact.pdf' as a new file name. It does exactly the same thing as with the edit option and prompts to save the file to the temporary folder of the local client but there is no relation between the new file and the existing Teams/SharePoint location. Due to this the file never gets uploaded to Teams/SharePoint.
Why the feature is needed:
We are trying to find different ways to insure that files that are opened from Teams or SharePoint are actually saved back directly into the original location and do not have any dependencies to the OneDrive Sync client or local drive folders.

miller chaney commented I have this problem too! It apparently works, but the temporary saving to OneDriveCloudTemp folder is annoying. Have to go in there and clean it up regularly. Hopefully Adobe will have a solution soon. The real challenge of https://blockblastonline.com is not in speed but in strategic thinking and resource management, which in this case is managing space on the grid board.
