An error occurred while saving the comment Jason Fikes commentedYes, but you should be able to select colors from the drop-down menu. Developers, just try and use more than one more color to highlight phrases in a 10-12 page document. Plan to change colors twice, every other page. You'll see that the menu isn't intuitive. Highlight>properties>color>type of color tool (3 choices)>make selection>close that window>close the final window. And the next time you want to highlight in a color not the default, you can do it all again.
Why not offer a drop-down menu for different (default) colors on the highlighter tool? Or a right-click option for top colors? Keep in mind that most people who use highlighters either use 1 or many.
And I would add, it would fantastic if I could move the highlighter/underliner/sticky note to the upper toolbar. This would keep me from having to select the comment tab, and then load that window before highlighting (or toggling to another color).

An error occurred while saving the comment Jason Fikes commentedIt would seem simple to give a pull-down menu with your favorite 3-5 colors as highlighters. If you want to highlight in more than one color, which is something many people that use physical highlighters do (I mean, after all, you can either buy yellow or 5-pack. Do you wonder why?)
And while we are at it, why not separate (or offer the ability to separate) highlighting from commenting). What I mean is putting the highlighter/underline/sticky note next to the "save button in the menu" In a perfect world, I'd like to select my highlighter, make my highlight, and right-click to comment. Just go through those operations, and see how far you have to dig (or switch menus) to do something simple.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jason Fikes commentedIt would be nice to be able to toggle between edit and comments without having to open and close them. And it would be fantastic to be able to highlight edits and comments. You can use bold and italics in comments, why not underline and the highlights?

I couldn't agree more. It seems simple to give users options, especially when they've made so many requests. I could upload a video in which I have to close this home page 25 times in an hour. I am not alone.
