Continuous Highlighting
Please bring back continuous highlighting (you do not have to click the highlight button for each individual highlight).

It would be nice to be able to toggle between edit and comments without having to open and close them. And it would be fantastic to be able to highlight edits and comments. You can use bold and italics in comments, why not underline and the highlights?

Didn't it used to be that if you clicked the tool while holding the Opt/Alt key it would also invoke "Keep Tool Selected"? Click with key is much faster/easier than push pin. -

You can do continuous highlighting by pressing the little push pin icon in the tool bar. That is the "Keep Tool Selected" tool.
