    Sorry for the inconvenience, though this sounds very strange. Can you kindly share the steps you are following to create the pdf. I am asuming it is asking for a password when you are trying to reopen it later – correct me if it is not so.
    Also share the version of the software you are using as well as the version of the Operating system.

    I am having the same problem. pdf is created using ScanSnap Manager Version 6.5 L61. Using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19041. When I go to open the file on either my hard drive or DropBox, it asks for password that I never set up. I am the person who created the file.

  2. a DOCUMENT HAS PASSWORD NOW, BUT i NEVER GAVE IT A PASSWORD. hOW DO i GET IT OFF?

    Never set up a password for document. Now it is asking for password to open. Security features in file properties all give full permission with no restrictions. I created the file.
