    I'm in the same situation as you Jorg. I waste a LOT of time constantly having to change back to the hand tool. It's very frustrating!!!

    Happy to share that this issue has been fixed in the latest release (Sep 2022).

    I have the same problem. I'm using version 2022.001.20169 It seems as though maybe Adobe broke this and doesn't care to fix it, or someone changed it to this and thinks that ALL users would be happy with it. It's TERRIBLY irritating.

    Also, the above post is from January 13th and still no response from Adobe? What the heck man!

    You can make the hand tool the default option by trying:
    1)Look under Preferences> Acessibility
    2)Uncheck "Always display the keyboard selection
    3)Then select the Hand Tool.
    4)Close the program
    5)The Hand tool will now be default
