An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Martin commentedI agree with Mr. Griffin on very much everything except for one specific point: the proposal of maintaining two separate interfaces for new and existing customers. That adds an extra layer of confusion in the workflow. The need to switch between interfaces complicates what should be a straightforward process. Thankfully, the option to revert to the old UI exists this time. However, this workaround is far from a solution, as all our clients must now switch back to access functionalities that the latest update has unfortunately removed from PDF Portfolios.
Navigating clients through the process of downloading Acrobat, setting up all the necessary preferences, and then instructing them to switch to an older interface — only to discover that even this UI's functionality has been diminished, as thumbnails within PDF Portfolios no longer display correctly — is embarrassingly awkward. It places us in the uncomfortable position of having to apologize for inconveniences that should never have occurred, all the while questioning what further complications future updates might introduce.
It's crucial to remember, Adobe, that as we bring new customers to your platform, the usability challenges imposed by these updates not only affect our workflow but also complicate our relationships with those clients. This time, the changes have made it significantly more difficult to advocate for your software.
An error occurred while saving the comment Martin commentedHi,
I would like to report that the Thumbnails formerly present in the PDF Portfolio are missing. The portfolio is now represented just as a list.
After switching to the old UI, the thumbnail pan appears on the left side as it used to be, however, it shows only PDF icons, not the actual thumbnails.
Also notice that in the new "list" GUI the files are opened separately. When you switch to the old GUI you can browse through the files seamlessly. That is a crucial feature!
I will do a little investigation regarding this issue which impacts all of our customers who navigate themselves by the thumbnails in complex portfolios and subsequently I will refer them all to switching to the old GUI.
I hope I will be contacted ASAP regarding this inconvenience.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Martin Jezek

I took a great advantage of the PDF Thumbnails in PDF Portfolio, but recently our customers found out that the Thumbnails are not there anymore.
Could you please provide explanation?
Also, it seems to me that a lot of general settings and preferences regarding the PDF Portfolio are gone.
All our customers are used to see the thumbnails and navigate themselves by them. Now, the PDF Portfolio, formerly a very powerful format, is utterly useless.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Hi, I have already posted on this thread expressing a bug and loss of functionality in both versions of the GUI. Now a question occurred to me. Are we just a negligible fraction, subscribed users of Adobe Acrobat Pro who either do not like the new interface or struggle due to the loss of functionality? I mean, there must be millions of subscribers globally and here we are just like barely 550 users. And yet, there have been ideas with 12 votes accepted and implemented. I write this out of a concern that we might be stuck with this GUI as nobody knows when comes the time that they disable the "Switch to the old GUI" option. How many users is enough to make a change? Could somebody chip in their experience, please?
