Try clearing the defaults for Adobe Acrobat Reader in your phone's settings. Go to Settings > Apps > Adobe Acrobat > Clear Defaults. Then, try opening the PDF again—it might fix the issue.

It seems like the PDF file is opening in the Adobe Acrobat Reader app but is being interrupted by a subscription ad. To fix this, try clearing the app cache or reinstalling Adobe Acrobat. Also happening to me. Now every time I open a document from any of my cloud accounts I get sent to the subscription page, telling me pay up or no viewing
