The ability to open in either webapp or desktop, or "wild idea" both at the same time to allow cross-document editing and comparison, the ability to save settings, and the ability of other apps of the same general document type to easliy fill and sign like pdf-filler use case for free trials as that's how yall must be making the majority of profits. Creation of good will may cost a bit more short-term however the word of mouth especially with the current competition ie: free linux apps, as wsl is become a full integration.
