Print from Acrobat plugin prints jibberish characters

Frequently when trying to print a pdf using the Adobe Acrobat plugin, it just shows random characters instead of the actual document (see attached screenshot).
It doesn't matter what printer I choose, even if I choose Adobe Acrobat PDF printer.
So I have to save the pdf file, open it in Acrobat, then print it (a convoluted process).

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused due to this issue. Can you please help us with some information on this issue that will help us to debug this further?
    Edge Browser Settings: Could you please provide a screenshot of the browser pdf settings ? You can access this page by navigating to edge://settings/content/pdfDocuments?search=pdf on edge browser.

    Also, If the "Always download PDF files" toggle is currently enabled, we recommend turning it off and attempting to print the respective file again.
