An error occurred while saving the comment raccoon commentedI'm upvoting this because I want smooth scrolling with my precision touchpad in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I also want horizontal scrolling. It's also worth mentioning that you cannot scroll the settings either. You have to use the keyboard, touch or use the tacks and/or thumb in the window.
I wonder why my organisation pays for Acrobat Pro. Acrobat Pro is bloated, slow and doesn't even have smooth scrolling in 2020 (sorry for mentioning the year, I know that this issue will be very old, like 2025 old, and you may feel sad after seeing the year 2020 just as I do when others do it). A lot of people use the Chrome PDF reader but unfortunately it is missing a lot of features, especially related to editing.
And as bugmenot said, Acrobat Reader is pretty much just abandonware now. It gets interface updates and - and- uh... oh that's it lmao. Acrobat Reader is so powerful and old and there's nothing like it. Please just fix the scrolling.
To think that this issue was made in early 2017 and it is now early 2020. I don't have any hope or trust in Adobe. We (everyone) should switch to the Affinity suite where we can.

An error occurred while saving the comment raccoon commentedHallelujah! The changelog should've mentioned that you can finally scroll horizontally.
but scrolling is still a subpar experience on PTPs. It should be like touch or clicking and dragging with the hand tool. I mostly blame Microsoft though as they have control over win32 and choose not to improve it (as well as update the styling and even MS uses win32 so they have no excuses). But you are Adobe. You can get Microsoft to implement better scrolling. Oh and when you scroll and let go (starts scrolling inertially) but press ctrl, it starts zooming.

ooh and Mozilla's PDF.js already has nice and smooth pixel by pixel scrolling. It's a shame that Firefox's scrolling isn't as good as Chrome's though.
