We want real smooth scrolling (not just continuous scrolling).
I mean that kind of scroll we get when using a web browser. SMOOTH scrolling! It would also look like dragging text with a "hand tool" in Reader but with a mouse wheel.
Current method makes text jump one or three lines at a time (depending on your mouse settings), which pretty much irritating!
I appreciate your attention.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. We have taken a note of it. Will keep you posted.

This would be very useful and, quite frankly, is a fundamental necessity. In all situations, whatever the reason Adobe Acrobat DC is being used, having clunky scrolling is off-putting and makes work cumbersome, inefficient, and generally frustrating. I would appreciate being able to have "butter-smooth" continuous scrolling in a program that is otherwise impressively integrated and powerful.
Yes, this is absolutely necessary. I cannot believe such an expensive program does not have this feature. It is required for anybody who plans on reading, especially students such as myself to read textbooks and other academic PDFs. I will be switching to FOXIT pdf for the time being.
ooh and Mozilla's PDF.js already has nice and smooth pixel by pixel scrolling. It's a shame that Firefox's scrolling isn't as good as Chrome's though.
adobe will have some competition from chrome pretty soon. they're improving their scrolling in pdfs.
This is also called pixel scrolling (as opposed to line scrolling). Adobe 100% has the power to work with Microsoft on this as they've worked together before.
We need smooth scrolling for easy reading while slowly scrolling

MAKE IT HAPPEN NOWWWWWW
Too basic of a feature to be missing.
This is horrible, when are you going to get real and start implementing this change? Going to leave ur services because of this.
Taking notes for three years - Adobe®
all the other apps are doing this, why adobe always has to be late?? also in photshop and illustrator this basic feature is not implemented. it's a shame

It's been three years and I'm still waiting for it.
It's been 3 years since Felipe Abou posted this.
Do you plan on doing something about it in the near future?
This is a feature I would very much like!
I love your program but this is a very big problem for me.
I'm upvoting this because I want smooth scrolling with my precision touchpad in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I also want horizontal scrolling. It's also worth mentioning that you cannot scroll the settings either. You have to use the keyboard, touch or use the tacks and/or thumb in the window.
I wonder why my organisation pays for Acrobat Pro. Acrobat Pro is bloated, slow and doesn't even have smooth scrolling in 2020 (sorry for mentioning the year, I know that this issue will be very old, like 2025 old, and you may feel sad after seeing the year 2020 just as I do when others do it). A lot of people use the Chrome PDF reader but unfortunately it is missing a lot of features, especially related to editing.
And as bugmenot said, Acrobat Reader is pretty much just abandonware now. It gets interface updates and - and- uh... oh that's it lmao. Acrobat Reader is so powerful and old and there's nothing like it. Please just fix the scrolling.
To think that this issue was made in early 2017 and it is now early 2020. I don't have any hope or trust in Adobe. We (everyone) should switch to the Affinity suite where we can.
yes please listen Adobe!, i want to read smoothly on my 144Hz monitor
I was searching for a solution on this exact problem, but Adobe seems to making fun of people with that title that this page has. They don't care
Sometimes the most important things are the most overlooked things.

With Microsoft Surface Laptop and having Pro ASP.NET MVC 5 reading, I just switched to chrome browser reading of the pdf book. I did this to only avoid the jumpy scrolling of the pages, I was reading. It was very annyoing. Why are not fixing is sooner? Its already two years. I am still having problems
I switch to foxit because of this
I just stopped using Adobe Acrobat Reader because of the bad scrolling (multiple line scrolling) while I can read PDFs in Chrome, Xodo, ... with so much smoother scrolling experience.
Now I am using Xodo.
It is a pity that such great software is missing out because of lack of such feature. I can scroll smoothly in Adobe by the middle button of mouse but not by scrolling which means the software is capable of doing that but is not enabled.
