Keeps crashing after updating to version 19.10.00

Having just upgraded to version 19.10.00 of Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDF today I cannot open any pdf file as the application crashes persistently soon after opening. I am using a 6th Generation iPad running iPadOS 13.1.2.

    The new update must have a bug. The app crashes after you type so many characters and you lose everything up to that point. I’m going to cancel my subscription if this is not fixed.
