Editing PDFs stored on SharePoint on an iPad
SharePoint is the primary file storage location for my company. We use laptops for any desk based work and iPads for field based work. I am able to edit and markup pdfs on my laptop when at my desk but when I want to do this in the field and when mobile, I am unable to edit pdfs stored on SharePoint on my iPad which causes issues.

If you're trying to edit PDFs stored in SharePoint on an iPad, the issue is often related to how the file is being opened. The built-in SharePoint or Microsoft 365 apps typically allow viewing and basic annotation, but full PDF editing usually requires a dedicated PDF editor with SharePoint integration.
A common workaround is to open the PDF in a compatible editing app (such as Adobe Acrobat or another PDF editor that supports SharePoint), make your changes, and then save the file back to SharePoint. This helps preserve version history while allowing field staff to work directly from the shared document library.
It's also worth checking whether your organization has restricted editing permissions or if the app you're using only supports read-only access to SharePoint files on iPad. techyest.co.uk
