module 1
Pedagogical knowledge (PK) is one of three types of knowledge that teachers need to effectively integrate technology into their teaching, as described in the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework:
Pedagogical knowledge (PK)
A teacher's knowledge of teaching and learning methods and practices, including how students learn, classroom management, and assessment practices
Technological knowledge (TK)
A teacher's understanding of technologies and how to use them for learning and organizational tasks
Content knowledge (CK)
A teacher's knowledge of the subject matter they are teaching, including the curriculum and disciplinary concepts and practices

The TPACK framework also includes contextual knowledge (XK), which is information about the broader context in which a teacher teaches, such as school policies and culture.
The TPACK framework was developed by Runya Mishra and Matthew J. Koehler of Michigan State University in 2006. The framework emphasizes the interaction between these three types of knowledge, and researchers say that effective technology integration requires teachers to understand these relationships.
