@Mezar Chakawa - NO other app does this! Adobe is the only app on all my computers that does this every time it updates.

I also have created an account for this issue. This is a significant enough issue since this is happening so frequently, that I will switch to another PDF service. Just give us an option in the settings to not have a desktop icon an make millions on your users happy. I think it is time to find different ways to word this complaint and make multiple threads to encourage Adobe to listen.

Yes, this is extremely annoying that Adobe insists on adding a desktop shortcut every time it updates. Users have been complaining about this issue for years and Adobe has never commented or explained why they continue this intrusive practice. All they have to do is add it as an option in users settings and we would all be happy users. I am not a happy user right now! I for one am looking at other PDF programs as I am tired of haveing to delete the shortcut on multiple computers every time the force it back.

I do like your solution to keep programs from adding desktop icons, thanks for the idea.

Yes, this is seriously annoying, and users have been asking them to stop this practice for years. There are many many threads on this forum about the issue and yet Adobe refuses to respond or make any change. Time to move on to another provider or program that will honor and respect their users. Adobe has gotten too big and doesn't care to respect it's users!!

Yes this is extremely annoying. Users have been complaining about this issue and asking for a simple solution for years, but Adobe insists on this practice. It's time to look for a new PDF program that will respect my settings and preferences.

I created an account just to comment on this issue. Yes, this is beyond annoying, and yet so simple for them to correct. Users have been complaining about this issue for years on this forum and yet no changes. Time to find a new PDF reader from a company that will listen or at least respect my settings and preferences.

I created an account just to comment on this issue. There are several threads here on Adobe of people complaining about this issue for many years, and yet Adobe refused to address it. Annoying your users is not a great way to build or support your brand.

I have created an account just to comment on this issue. There are no end of searches on-line of people looking on how to stop this annoying practice. It has been requested for years and Adobe still continues with this practice. All they have to do is add it to the user settings so we can turn that off if we want.

@Adam, I don't think it is petty to find another program because of this issue. I am trying out a other options. Maybe we shoud start a thread on great alteratives.
