    Adobe, you can make 90% of the complaints on this site go away if you just make the toolbars into configurable panels that can be moved, pinned or hidden by default at the user's discretion - and stay that way.
    Comparing it to any other professional software, it shows a problematic level of disrespect for user workflows and autonomy that makes it nearly useless in a professional environment. As an embedded viewer in a CAD system, one must repeatedly hide multiple default expanded bars that occupy 90% of the window, instead of simply seeing the file in a blink as they should.
    The UI always used to be configurable. Empower the users again. Just say no to nag screens. Easy fix.

    Hi Ayush, with a search for "hide tools" you'll see several threads on this topic begging for relief, and it is a major problem for engineering systems. This would be a simple fix for Adobe and save endless grief for engineers worldwide. Please revisit the issue with this in mind.

    This is a major problem for engineering systems using Reader as an embedded file viewer, as one needs to be able to flip through files quickly, and having to close the two panes occupying 90% of the window each time makes it absolutely prohibitive bordering on liability.
