How about this as a solution:
    1) Give users the option of not showing the side pane of tool groups at all (in Preferences); and
    2) Give users the option of not showing the Share button at all (in Preferences); and
    3) Give users the option of creating/customizing our own toolbar(s) with tools from different tool groups to make it quick and easy to work on documents without having to access different groups to access the next tool we want to use.

    Adobe UI Design Department:

Please get rid (or at least make it optional) the "Tools pane" on the right side of the window. (You should have called the icons there "Toolboxes" or "Tool sets" anyway.)

And, give users the option to place any tools that we choose in a toolbar or toolbars at the top of the window. Allow us to customize the toolbar(s) to make our workflow easier--not harder.

    Thank you.

It would also be helpful if the items in the right-side pane were called something other than "tools," because we have the more traditional tools that we are used to seeing in the "toolbars" across the top of the document pane such as "highlight" and "add text" and "selection tool for text and images," etc.

The items in the right-side pane should be called "toolboxes" or "functions" because that's what they are: groupings of tools.
