Currently only Nitro and Foxit support AIP. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/SharePoint-Compatible-PDF-readers-that-support-Microsoft-Information-Rights-Management-services-DD197D58-5BF6-4D18-B9F8-D16DB603FAE2
We really need this feature enabled or we will have to change our PDF software to one of these products. GDPR is forcing our hand on this.

Since Update 18.11.2003x - Cannot open PDF - asking for Password
Multiple Users - Multiple PDF files. Mixed Windows 7 32/64bit and 10. All versions of Adobe Acrobat DC. Since the update 18.11.2003x when opening a PDF within IE it's asking for a password. Chrome is not an option.
Our current workaround is removing all adobe apps and reinstalling before the update. Then disabling the auto update.
Looking for long term solution.3 votesRight status is Implemented. Resolved is used when we resolve an issue with help, educating the user, providing workaround etc. Actual work from our side in this case – hence Implemented.

As additional information, I indexed PDF files including above files. Nevertheless almost all of indexed PDF files haven't gotten password locked, so that I cannot attribute the reason of unintentional password lock to indexing.
