A Prereference in Acrobat should be there which loads the last session of opened tabs/pdfs on relaunching. Also could provide options to save/load previous sessions.
This may be Important to the users who work on several pdfs at a time but wish to retain the opened docs in the next Acrobat session.
Also Session could be managed to retain even after machine restart and then launching acrobat.193 votes

If you already have an object selected and need to add to that selection the common universal procedure is to hold down the shift key on the keyboard while clicking the object you want to add to the already made selection. It works fine unless you have the "Output Preview" window open. In that case instead of adding to a selection it creates a new sticky note. You used a universal keyboard/mouse combo for "adding to a selection" to instead create a new sticky note but only when "Output Preview" is open. This needs to be changed to a different keyboard/mouse combo so that SHIFT+CLICK works the same whether the "Output Preview" window is open or not.

With the latest update of Acrobat on 13th Feb, this issue has been addressed. Make sure you are on the latest update by visiting Help > Check for updates (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/continuous/dccontinuousfeb2018.html#dccontinuousfebruarytwentyeighteen/ ).
We have added a preference "Use Shift + Click for Multiple Selection with Output Preview " to enable multiple objects selection when the output preview dialog is open. To select multiple objects, use Shift + Click. To add a sticky note containing the color values, use Alt + Click (on Windows) or Option + Click (on Mac).

I want turn off automatic OCR when I go to edit a scan. Really slowing my project down having to revert to image on every page when all I need to do is rotate pages on the old documents I'm working on.28 votes
With the latest release, we have added a checkbox that will turn off the automatic OCR.
1. Open any scanned pdf.
2. Go to Edit PDF.
3. Wait for OCR to complete.
4. On the right hand pane, uncheck the “Recognize text” option. (Alternatively, if you see a button ‘Revert to Image’, click on it).
This will turn off the auto-OCR feature. Now, Acrobat will not run OCR automatically. Acrobat remembers this setting so that you do not have to uncheck it again.
Let us know if this helps.

Create a setting in Preferences that defaults to:
View | Show | Navigation Panes | Page Thumbnails
so that thumbnails ALWAYS appear in the navigation pane and are never hidden unless done manually.17 votes
We already support this with the “Pinning of navigation pane” feature. i.e. to open any Navigation Pane by default for all the documents in the LHP.
This is how you can try this out:
1) Launch any PDF and Expand the Panel that you want the acrobat to open by default for every document(For Ex. Page Thumbnails)
2) Right click on the LHP Navigation strip , Select the option from the context menu “Pin Page thumbnails” .
3) now try out by launching any other pdf → You will observe that the Page thumbnails panel would appear expanded by default on launch (If document does not have any other document specific preference )
This Feature is applicable to DC and Classic 2017 track (not available in Classic 2015)
When I try to change the border color under the prepare tool I am not prompted with a transparency check box in the color select window that pops up as I previously was. Ive checked other PDF's that I've created and I am coming across the same issues.16 votes

We often need to split a document into a single file per page. We almost NEVER split a document by every two pages.
Having to edit this number each time is redundant. I would like the option to either edit the default "split by" setting (and additionally the output settings) or alternatively have the default be 1 page.16 votes

It has been implemented – so keeping it that way. Resolved may not always mean implemented.
Please make Acrobat the same way it was before. I want the tools bar to be on the right side and not on the top as a tab, this is annoying.
It is very annoying to change the layout of the interface when users are used to a certain layout for years. Please put the tools in the side bar instead of a tab. This wastes time to go to another screen and then after clicking on the tool, it opens up.11 votes
Steps to reproduce:
Close and re-open Adobe Acrobat. Issue observed after most recent version update. Issue occurs if the Tools Pane isn't shown when Adobe Acrobat starts (View > Show/Hide > Tools Pane).
Windows 10 and Windows 7
Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017
Third party quick tool should display based on settings in the Customize Quick Tools options menu.

We work on multiple monitor in our office. Our monitors have different scaling factor settings. When we drag Acrobat window from one display device to another it doesn't scale as per the new scaling factor.11 votes
Fix for scaling issue is currently available for following tracks: Acrobat DC Continuous, Acrobat 2017, Acrobat Reader DC Continuous, and Acrobat Reader 2017
when adding another file it goes to the end . In older versions of Acrobat Pro you could sort & re-arrange Portfolio files
tried that workaround where you create a new column in view /portfolio details & edit the values to get the files in the proper order sequence .. bit that is a bit of a kludge & really doesn`t affect the printing order of individual Portfolio files or default view when opening
version 2017.011.30065 Win 7 32 bit & win 10 64 bit10 votes
With latest version of Acrobat DC, you can re-arrange portfolio files by drag and drop.
Let us know if that resolves your concern.
