Select text and Search text stopped working
Bug Report:
In the Adobe App, I used to be able to search PDFs for text. I used to be able to select and copy text, as well.
On my PC, I scanned a page and used Acrobat DC Recognize Text. I made sure I could search for text and copy text.
Then I transferred the page to my Android phone. I opened the page in Adobe Reader App. I held my finger down to select text. Text would not select. Therefore, I also could not copy. I tried to search, even for short and frequent words such as "the". Search did not find. I tried searching for single letters such as "a" and "e". Search did not find.
I value these features. Therefore, I hope Adobe will try to fix these bugs soon.

Search does not work correctly in Windows 10. When I search for a word, the count is correct, but the wrong word is highlighted. In the attached file, the word faculty is used six times, but Acrobat reader is highlighting words such as 2020, sections, and of.

I appreciate your interest.
I tried to reply to the Sakshi Jain email with an attached PDF example file, but bounced back as an unmonitored mailbox.
I don't see any facility to upload to this post.
I know what I can do. I put the sample file on Google Drive. Here is the link.

Originally this was a on a physical sheet of paper. I scanned into my desktop PC. Then I did OCR using Adobe Acrobat DC Creative Cloud. Then, I transferred to my Android phone. I have the HTC 10 phone. I opened the file in the Adobe Reader App and tried to select text by holding down my finger. What happens is I get the popup menu that says “Note, Text, Freehand”.
Occasionally I will get the popup menu that allows selecting text, “Copy Highlight, Strikethrough, Underline”. But it is hard to get that menu. Seems like a conflict since both menus seem to be invoked by the same action of holding your finger down on some text. Maybe sometimes I can get the ability to select text and copy it by doing a search then holding my finger down near or maybe on the highlighted text. But this is not a solution because it doesn’t always work, and because would be a big pain in a long document.
Seems like there needs to be an icon to toggle between modes so that I can get one menu or the other as desired. Or maybe you will have some way that is easier for users. The main thing is to have clear access to select and copy and all the other features.
I have only seen this problem on the Adobe Reader App.
