Cannot highlight

Hi! I use to be able to highlight my PDF document. But now I cannot../ I reopen passed highlighted PDF and it doesn’t work neither.

I have the same problem on pdf files. Cannot highlight. Opened the file in a different pdf app and could highlight.

You may already be aware of this, please forgive me if this is the case. But files containing text that are scanned, even if they look like they are pure text, cannot be highlighted, it is just an image of text. Are you certain you are not trying to apply highlight to text inside an image?

Secondly, files that have been highlighted in other apps, e.g., Word, once converted to a PDF will not be accessible from Acrobat, that is, you cannot select, edit or delete the highlights. If Acrobat-created PDFs in legacy (desktop) Acrobat have highlighting, they should be editable.

If none of these cases is relevant here, would you consider sharing such a file with us?
