Fix Issue: Protected Mode prevents 3D PDF rendering hardware acceleration with NVidia graphics
If using a PC with NVidia graphic cards, hardware acceleration is automatically deactivated if protected mode on startup is active. This slows down 3D PDFs significantly.
Deactivating Protected Mode on Startup allows for hardware acceleration again.

We use the Adobe product "Acrobat Reader".
We generate 3D documents, which are necessary for us to exchange information.
These could be viewed with an earlier version of AcrobatReader without any problems. Since the program update about half a year ago this has been almost impossible.
The error is known - but is not considered relevant by the manufacturer Adobe and has therefore not yet been fixed; the assessment “the error is not relevant” must be changed so that the error is corrected. -

Due to this bug, Adobe Reader has become unusable for 3D-PDFs with [some?] Nvidia graphics cards. If this cannot be fixed, or if there is no incentive to fix it, non-Adobe alternatives will be seriously considered and/or usage of Adobe Acrobat software will be avoided altogether. Please fix this as soon as possible.
