The official Japanese website for haikyuu movie release date! announced on August 13, 2022, that the anime series would return but this time as a two-part movie. There won't be a season 5, as a final theatrical movie for the remaining manga was confirmed to be in the works. There is also a special event planned for August 2023 that will provide us with additional information about the film's production and potentially its release date. While many fans were delighted to see the anime back, others were disappointed to learn that it will conclude as a two-part movie.
