  3. Unable to save file I'm viewing to my computer. The only option offered is to Adobe Cloud . Changed setting to My Computer, had no effect

    Allow user to download a file to computer, rather than to Adobe Cloud Storage, or at least offer a choice. The settings appear to offer that choice, but when I change the Preference to saving files to My Computer, it does no good. I can still only save to Adobe Cloud Storage, which I haven't signed up for. Why wreck a simple feature that worked perfectly before??????

  4. SLOW SLOOOWWWWW...

    I would highly consider using Adobe Acrobat PDF extension for Chrome, if it's not a slow disaster like its current state is right now. Many people work around PDFs for business matters, and in business there's no toying around, time is money and happiness..!! Thank you.

    The Adobe extension for Chrome is terrible. I can't see how many pages are in the entire file, it's difficult to zoom in and out of a file, and the URL is complicated by the "chrome extension" language. This makes it difficult to reference a pdf file in scholarly writing, in coursework, or when creating a shortened URL. There is nothing about the extension that makes it easier to work with a pdf. It complicates tasks that used to be easy.

  8. Takes over 5 seconds to open PDF

    The new Chrome extension is VERY SLOW! It takes over 5 seconds to open a PDF from a link, and I have a VERY fast high-end computer. I will see if I can switch back to the old extension while you work out the problems.

  9. I hate the automatic installation of Adobe in chrome. I can't uninstall it!!!???

    I clicked on a link from either Chrome or Adobe to open pdf s in Chrome using Adobe, but I hate it. I've tried to "uninstall" this change, but nothing works - neither in Chrome settings nor Adobe. This is extremely annoying. What can I do to undo this change??

    Hello Mke,

    Sorry to hear that you are not liking the Acrobat experience. Could you please share your feedback on what issues you are facing and how we can make the experience better?

    You can turn it off by clicking on the Acrobat icon in Chrome Extensions and turning off “Use Acrobat in Chrome” toggle. Please see attached screenshot.

  10. File conversion

    I started in the morning around 9:30am to convert a PDF to a Microsoft Word document. It is now 8:45 pm and the file conversion is not complete. I have tried to stop the program without any success. I am seriously frustrated.
    I started my subscription yesterday. I want to cancel it now, if I can't even convert single file.

  11. Left Hand side Tool Bar please remove

    please get rid of the left hand side Tool bar that pops up every time you open a PDF. It used to be where you could close it out once, and then every PDF after that would not have it pop up. But, now every time it pops up

  12. in Chrome it always defaults to save to Downloads. Previous Chrome Viewer would allow saving to a folder, and remember this.

    When saving the PDF it always reverts to "Downloads" When using the PDF viewer in Chrome, it would allow me to change the save to another folder, and all subsequent PDF's would save to the same folder. Important when I'm viewing and saving multiple PDF Invoices. Too many steps now to save to the folder I want...

  13. Default save to last folder

    Saving/Downloading - it needs the option to default to the last folder used - when you are saving multiple PDFs to a folder this becomes annoying. You can do it by printing to PDF but not via Download.

  15. Too many steps to print.

    "Print this file" should be one of the first available options when a new window with a PDF opens. Why does it take multiple clicks to quickly print something? The majority of the time when opening a PDF, it's either to read it or print it. It's a top option on the Edge plugin. Not sure why it's so convoluted for Chrome.

  19. Regression in Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension - verified and reproducible

    We believe we've identified a regression in the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension reproducable in the recent 26.8.1.4 release.

    Our web application generates PDF reports in response to an authenticated HTTP POST. (Not a GET)

    The server returns the PDF successfully. However, when the Adobe extension is enabled, immediately after the successful POST, the browser performs an unexpected GET request to the same URL.

    This GET fails because the endpoint is POST-only.

    When the Adobe extension is disabled, the unexpected GET does not occur, and the application functions normally.
